The NC Run for a Change, which takes place in April, has quickly transformed into one of Durham’s most popular annual sporting events. This year (2010) has marked the event’s 2nd edition and has attracted hundreds of enthusiastic runners, of all levels, skills and abilities, who participated in an enjoyable and safe run.
This entertaining fund-raising event, offered by Global Connections for Change and the Sustain Foundation, which is trying to help local charities to raise money for HIV/AIDS orphans, school fees and supplies for the less fortunate, also featured music, food and lots of beverages, as well as prices awarded to the fastest runners, by age and gender groups.
